Maybelline Rebel Bouquet Collection Review, Photos and Swatches

Maybelline Rebel Bouquet Collection
Being an avid Maybelline fan, I thought it was about time I ventured into their lipstick range, as I had heard so many people rave about them. A couple of years ago I tried one of the Color Sensational Popsticks in Pink Lollipop, which was more of a tinted lip balm. Although it smelt nice and looked pretty in the packaging, I really didn't rate the formula, it was drying and the colour unattractive on the lips.

The Rebel Bouquet Collection consists of four Color Sensational lipsticks and five Color Show Rebel Bouquet Collection Nail Colours. I managed to grab three out of the four lipsticks, so here's my thoughts.

Do you love the Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks, if so what colours do you recommend I try next? Leave a comment down below or tweet me.
Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks
Price
These retail for £6.99 each and come in four beautiful shades, including, Peach Poppy, Petal Pink, Power Peony and Ravishing Rose. They are a great price for a decent amount of product, but if your like me and love a bargain, look out for the 3 for 2 offer if you have your eye on more than one shade.

Packaging
The Rebel Bouquet is a condensed collection of the US version of the Rebel Bloom 10 piece lipstick collection. The lids on these lipsticks are disappointing as they don't do the colour inside justice, compared to the US version which have pretty pink lids.

Application
The first thing I noticed upon application was the beautiful coconut smell, which is great to see in a drugstore lipstick. The texture is a smooth, buttery consistency, which glides onto the lips with ease. Each lipstick has great pigmentation in two coats and leaves a semi glossy finish on the lips.
Apart from Ravishing Rose, these three shades are all pastel colours, so if your not a fan of pastel lips then these may not be for you. For me Power Peony is the most wearable colour from the ones I picked up, as it's a deeper, purple based pastel. I also think Ravishing Rose would be another great colour to wear as it's an orange based red.
Maybelline Peach Poppy

Maybelline Petal Pink
Petal Pink is a great dupe for MAC's Saint Germain lipstick.

Maybelline Power Peony
Longevity
Like most lipsticks, re-application is needed after food, but they do stay on relevantly well through drinking.

Overall Thoughts
Overall I'm really impressed by the formula, price and pigmentation of these lipsticks. The colours are stunning in person and great if you have a tan or like a pastel lip. I also think the lipstick casing would be a lot more eye catching if it had the US packaging and a wider variety of colours, as not all of these are wearable shades for everybody. If you fancy picking up a couple of these shades, I would recommend Power Peony and Ravishing Rose out of the four available.

I award the Maybelline Rebel Bouquet Color Sensational Lipsticks 3.8 out of 5.

Simple Micellar Cleansing Water Review and Photos

Simple Micellar Cleansing water
Within the last six months micellar waters have become big business, with drugstore brands finally introducing them to rival the original Bioderma for half the price. So far I have tried the Garnier, Nivea and Loral versions and had recently discovered Simple had also released a version too. Here's my thoughts.
Have you used any drugstore or high end micellar waters, if so what's your favourite? Leave me a comment down below to tweet me.

Simple Kind to Skin Micellar Water retails for £4.49 for 200ml and is compatible for all skin types including sensitive skin. This Simple version claims to remove make-up and cleanse, like most micellar waters. Being an avid fan of the Simple wipes, I was keen to try this to see how it compares with the others I had tested.

This Simple version is unscented and easily removed my make-up. I used this with cotton wool pads to remove my initial layer of make-up, before deep cleansing. The only negative for me was it did irritate my eyes a little when removing my eye make-up. Comparing it to the other drugstore versions I have used, the Garnier version is by far the best value for money and defiantly my favourite, it seems to work the best for me.

Nail of the Day - Essie - Stones 'N' Roses

Essie Stones 'N' Roses
Essie Stones 'N' Roses is a muted crème coral shade, that is part of the 2015 Resort Collection. Although this collection didn't initially catch my eye, Essie do, do the best selection of Coral shades and this was not a shade of coral I had seen before. This pretty polish is ideal for anyone who's not  keen on the brighter corals, as it still screams Spring, but in a very subtle way.

The Essie 2015 Resort comes in four colours including, Stones 'N' Roses, Cocoa Karma, Time for Me Time and Suite Retreat and can be found in Boots and Superdrug.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara Review and Photos

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
I'm a total sucker for anything new in the makeup world, especially if it has cute packaging and a gimmicky title. Roller Lash is the newest offering from Benefit, released earlier this month, it claims to curl and lift lashes without the use of eyelash curlers. The brush is uniquely designed to catch and elevate your lashes just like a hair rollers would. Here's my thoughts.

Have you tried the new Benefit Roller Lash do you rate it or hate it? Let me know in the comments below or tweet me.

Price
Roller Lash retails for £19.50 and can be found in most department stores or online. The price is expensive for a mascara, but considering this is no ordinary mascara from a high end brand, I would expect to pay this sort of price.

Packaging
The packaging is really retro and eye catching, reminiscent of all Benefit products. Detailed pictures and stats can also be found on the box, which is great to see, so you know exactly how this mascara can work for you. The mascara itself is simply packaged in coral and black, with a rubber handle, which is excellent for grip when applying the mascara. The brush is rubber and slightly curved with longer bristles on the top and shorter ones on the bottom.

Application
The thing I noticed initially when applying this mascara was how it instantly lifted and thickened my lashes, just like a fibre mascara would. The brush grabbed onto every lash to create a long spidery effect. I applied two to three coats, but on reflection I think two coats is more than enough for you to be able to separate your lashes and get the Roller Lash Effect, without the clumps, but this is personal preference.

Longevity
I had this on for around 11 hours and the curl stayed exactly where it was. I also had no smudging, flacking or transfer which was great. The only thing I found was the consistency did feel a little sticky on the lashes at the side.

Overall Thoughts
Benefit Roller Lash does exactly what it says on the box, it lifts and curls the lashes without a doubt and an eyelash curler is defiantly not needed. This mascara has great longevity and curl power, but it did feel a little sticky at the corners of my lashes, because of it's consistency. The brush is terrific at catching every lash, although I do advise working relatively quickly to get the results you want before it sets. This mascara reminds me so much of a fibre mascara, creating long, fluttery lashes without the hassle of a two step system.

Overall I really did love the look this mascara gave, however I do think it will take me a couple of goes to get used to the formula. Yet again Benefit have come up trumps with another successful product release.

I award the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara 4.4 out of 5

Fleur de Force The Glam Guide Review and Photos

Fleur de Force The Glam Guide
Out of all the You Tuber book releases, Fleur's was defiantly the one I was most excited about. Having followed her channel for years, I have to say she is one of my favourite people on YouTube. Why? She's down to earth, relatable, honest, natural and beautiful. If you don't know already Fleur is a British Blogger and YouTuber with an audience of over a million, that are captivated by her respected advice on Fashion and Beauty products.

Released in February The Glam Guide is a round up of everything from Beauty to Fashion, Healthy Eating and Life Advice. With a great mix of content, this beautiful book has something for everyone.
Here's my thoughts.

If your familiar with Fleur, I'd love to know what you like most about her YouTube channel or Blog?

Price
The book retails for £14.99 and can be found in most good book stores, including Tesco, Amazon and WHSmith.

Packaging and about the book
This book certainly caught my eye when I saw it. The cover is beautifully adorned in Rose Gold writing, on trend watercolour accents and personal pictures that represent everything in Fleur's life.

Inside the book you'll find tips and tricks, life hacks and everything in between, to help you lead a glam life. Fleur also shares her secrets and experience on make-up advice, how to look good in photos, as well as relationships, dreams and of course YouTube and Blogging tips.

My Top 5 Favourite Pages from the book
1. The Illustrations - Throughout the book
Not only is this book the ultimate life guide, it's also visually appealing too. You can tell so much effort and thought has been put into every page, with so many beautiful photos and illustrations to capture each chapter.

2. Hair - P60 - 81
I love Fleur's guide to everything hair, she had some really great tips that I had never even heard of before including, hair colour, DIY masks and quick and easy hairstyle ideas.

3. Travel - P132 - 149
Being an avid traveller myself I love anything to do with travel and enjoy watching Fleur's vlog channel to see where in the world she has been recently. This section again gives some great tips for any amateur packer on what to pack in your carry on, how to overcome jetlag and beauty essentials.

4. Juicing and Smoothies - P158 - 163
I have a thing about making juices and smoothies for breakfast and so it's great to see people feel as passionate as me about this subject. Fleur covers a whole topic on Health and Fitness as well as sharing three of her favourite Juicing and smoothie recipes too.

5. Life, Love Dreams and Everything in Between - P180 - 209
Confidence is something I think most of us struggle with these days. With so much pressure to look good because of influences like social media and magazines, it's great to see real women speak out about how they deal with self-confidence issues and exactly how to lead an overall positive, happy life.

Overall Thoughts
The Glam Guide is a truly beautiful book inside and out. It really is your essential glam bible that every girl should own! You can tell that so much thought has been put into every single page to make this relatable to girls young and old. Whether your looking for beauty or fashion, healthy recipes or blogging advice it can be found in this essential glam bible. It's great to see Fleur finally combine all her knowledge, secrets and experience into one solid book that genuinely reflects her as a person. It really is inspiring to witness another YouTuber doing so well through sheer hard work and determination in something she sincerely is passionate about. I'm excited to see what's next for Fleur.

I award The Glam Guide 4.9 out of 5

Nail of the Day - O.P.I Shine for Me

O.P.I Shine for Me
Now I'm probably the only one who hasn't read the Fifty Shades of Grey books, nor have I seen the film and when I heard O.P.I were teaming up with the movie to release a collection of Nail Polishes, I was less than impressed at the prospect of what I imagined to be a collection of dull grey shades. In one sense I was right, the collection is made up of six shades with five being grey and the other one red and yes this had been the least excited I've been about an O.P.I collection for years. But one 'shade' of grey did catch my eye and that was Shine for Me. Shine for Me is a beautiful grey based fine glitter shot with accents of light and dark blue. This colour was opaque in two coats and does look stunning if your after a more sophisticated glitter. The collection is available from the O.P.I website and retails for £11.94 each for 15ml.

Have you guys tried any of this collection, what are your thoughts, I'd love to know!? Leave a comment down below or tweet me.
