NYX Butter Lipstick Review and Photos

NYX Butter Lipsticks in Snow Cap and Pops
Following on from the success of the Butter Glosses, comes NYX's newest butter release, the Butter Lipstick. I'm already a big fan of the glosses because of their creamy texture, affordability and great colour selection, so here's my thoughts on the latest offering to the butter family.
Price
These retail for £5.50 for 4.5g of lipstick, which is great value for money. The line also comes in over 30 colours to choose from, which is amazing for a drugstore brand. NYX is also now available online at feelunique.com, Boots.com, ASOS, Very and in store at Selfridges.
Packaging
The packaging is pretty, yet simple and each lipstick is colour co-ordinated to the relevant lipstick shade.
Application
These glide on so smoothly and have the most gorgeous buttery texture, just like the name suggests. I picked up Snow Cap and Pops and both shades were beautifully pigmented, vibrant and had a lovely glossy finish to them.
Longevity
Because of their smooth, glide-on texture, these unfortunately didn't stay on as long as I hoped. So I would recommend priming the lips with a lip liner and blotting with powder and a tissue in between layers, to get the best out of these lipstick's.
Overall Thoughts
Overall these lipstick version's of the butter glosses are amazing, as not only are they affordable, they come in the best on trend colour selection and they glide-on so smoothly for a drugstore lipstick.

Yes it is a shame that the longevity factor is not so great, but don't let this put you off the exceptional quality of these lipsticks for the price, as it is unusual to find such a great formulated lipstick with a wide variety of wearable shades, available on the high street market.

I award the NYX Butter Lipstick 4.7 out of 5
